Clairemont Youth Character Academy’s mission statement is, “In and through our faith in Jesus Christ, we want to build up 6th through 12th grade students in CHARACTER, FRIENDSHIP, and SERVICE.”
The world is in desperate need of young men and women of character. Further, in spite of the prevalence of smart phone technology, the young men and women of today are actually more disconnected than ever. And the bedrock of both Christian ethics and healthy societies is when people serve one another. We aim to support, encourage, and train young people (6th grade through 12th grade) to build those elements into their lives through faith in Jesus Christ.
Clairemont Youth Character Academy (CYCA) is a Wednesday night program from 6:30-8:00pm.
As a relatively new endeavor by our church, we will refine this program as time goes on. CYCA has the full support of our congregation. The week-to-week leaders at this time are Rachel Christman and Cameron Cox.
CYCA is a free week-to-week program, but there will be special events in the future that may require you to pay for your student such as a Christian conference, or a camp week, a fun experience out like mini golf, etc. Paid events will be communicated to students and parents as early as possible. These events will be a helpful part of building up your student(s) in terms of character, friendship, and service.
